"I'm not saying you should all say you'll die for Jesus, but you should live for him"

At the edge, my small group leader Drew Worsham told us a story, here it is;
There was this boy named BJ. By the age of nine years old he had already deticated his life to Christ and started living it out. By 11 he knew his calling was to go to maraca (i think) and teach people about the Lord. He was on a mission trip to peru at the age of fifteen and he died of an unknown disease, the only thing his parents got back were his bible and his journal. In almost every margin of his bible and journal, written everywhere was "I would die for you Jesus" Well, he did. His parents brought his ashes to maraca to spread, and when they told their tour guide his story he was so moved that he converted and started an underground church there. Some time later, his dad was on a trip in a different country, where he met this boy on a bus, this boy knew of Jesus, but had no bible to study the word of God with, the only bible that his dad had with him was BJs old bible. He didnt want to give it up but he prayed about it and God led him to give the boy his bible, and also to tell him that he thinks God wants him to spread the word of God in south africa. The boy he gave the bible to was 15 years old, just like BJ was when he died.
Drew followed it up with "I'm not saying you guys should all say you'll die for Jesus, but you should live for him"
This all ties in with something that happened to me tonight. Up until tonight, i was afraid to say those words "I would die for you Jesus" I was afraid that i wasnt ready for that kind of commitment, but tonight during one of the songs at Genesis, I closed my eyes and my heart literally felt like it exploded and i said those words. At this point, I'm sharing this story with any and everyone. He is changing SO much in my heart and it's awesome. This year, God is going to work through me and use his light to bring in others and I'm REALLY excited to see what he has for me this year. I'm really looking forward to glorifying Him in everything I do, and about keeping a blog of everything I'm learning so I can not only remember it all, but share it with others. God is SO awesome, he has blessed me with much more than i deserve and I am so thankful for it all. I'm excited to live for Jesus, to live out what he wants me to fulfill. :)
